Who else is just plain disgusted with hunting in Central Pennsylvania,
I've been hunting here for over twenty years and the last three or so
years have been just terrible. While i still usually find deer, the
population seems to be at an all time low. I won't even shoot a doe
anymore, the biggest sign that there are so few deer is that you no
longer seem em dead along the road anywhere anymore. Anyone else feel
this way that live in Pennsylvania or even about their own state?
The state game folks won't even talk numbers anymore, in 2001
they were calling for a reduction in population and now all of their
reports say something to the effect that "Numbers are not a clear sign
of how many deer are in an area."
I've been starting to take out of state hunting trips in the past few
years and I decided to start a web blog to help others that might have
a small local White tail population. I am curious as to how many
hunters here look to taking trips to find the big bucks they want to get.
