It was early Archery season 2007 when I decided to hunt the power lines on the mountain I live on. I packed up my gear and got out onto the power line early in the morning well before sunrise. From where I stood I could see the lights of the town below me as people started to wake for the morning, by this time the sky was starting to brighten as more and more details of the Terrain filled my eyes. I continued to wait for the sun to come up as I spotted two doe slowly walking up the power lines towards me.

Leaky Boots Outdoors has been working on a hunting DVD, we documented a hunting trip down to southern Indiana and are in the middle of creating a DVD centered around taking out of state hunting trips without the need of a guide or guide service. When hunting white tail deer locally most of us already have a few favorite places to hunt but when hunting out of state there are some things we should look for before the first day arrives.
