The Darndest Thing

It was early Archery season 2007 when I decided to hunt the power lines on the mountain I live on. I packed up my gear and got out onto the power line early in the morning well before sunrise. From where I stood I could see the lights of the town below me as people started to wake for the morning, by this time the sky was starting to brighten as more and more details of the Terrain filled my eyes. I continued to wait for the sun to come up as I spotted two doe slowly walking up the power lines towards me.

Leaky Boots Outdoors DVD Trailer

Scouting factors obviously change depending on where in the Country you are hunting. Here are ten things I think of and look for when choosing where to setup for the first day of Buck Season.

My first kill with my Knight Muzzleloader

I recently decided to purchase a muzzle loader after 20 years of hunting with a rifle. I was looking for something reasonably priced but also known for its accuracy and reliability. After weeks of looking up different muzzle loaders online and talking with other hunters, I found my gun!
